Read Quran, Understand It and Follow It

Holy Quran is the best book on the face of the earth because its writer is not any human but creator of this world Allah SWT himself. He is our creator and he sent Quran towards us a instruction manual so that we can spend our lives in a good way. This Holy book guides us regarding various issues of our lives which we cannot solve ourselves.

Allah SWT said in the Quran "And We have indeed made the Quran easy to understand and remember: then is there any that will receive admonition"  This verse of the Quran Kareem teaches us that we should read the Holy Quran with understanding.

But the sad fact of today's Muslim world is that many of us don't read the Quran and others only read it to get Sawab. We don't read it to understand and follow. Those Muslims who understand Arabic can understand its meaning. but those Muslim who don't know Arabic can't understand the meaning of Quran. Such Muslims should read Quran with translation. Quran translation is available in almost all languages.

Don't consider Quran just a book that should be read to get Sawab but remember Quran is a guidance so we should read it with understanding and implement it in our lives.

Ajar of reading Quran is also great. a Hadith of Rasool Allah SAW says "Whoever reads a letter from the Book of Allah, he will have a reward. And that reward will be multiplied by ten".

Virtue of remembering Quran is also great according to Hadith. Rasool Allah SAW says Such a person who recites the Quran and masters it by heart, will be with the noble righteous scribes in Heaven.

So its clear that reading Quran has only benefits and if we will also understand it the benefit will become double.

Punishments For Crimes and Islamic view

There are daily reports of theft and robbery in every city of Pakistan. Government of Punjab claims that it is exhibiting good governance but newspapers daily expose the weak administration and unstable law and order situation in the land.

According to leading Newspapers there was theft of more than 10 millions in Lahore yesterday. How can we control these crimes. The only solution to these problems is the implementation of Islamic laws. If the following punishment is implemented all the crimes can be controlled with in no time:

Cut off (from the wrist joint) the (right) hand of the thief, male or female, as a recompense for that which they committed, a punishment by way of example from Allâh. And Allâh is All Powerful, All Wise. (Al-Ma'idah 5:38)

If some one reforms himself after committing crime than Allah swt will forgive him as mentioned in following verse:

But whosoever repents after his crime and does righteous good deeds (by obeying Allâh), then verily, Allâh will pardon him (accept his repentance). Verily, Allâh is OftForgiving, Most Merciful. (Al-Ma'idah 5:39)

India at present is being ruled by Hindu administration. After the accident of gang rape in bus the BJP parliamentary leader Sushma Swaraj is also demanding capital punishment for culprits. At this moment the punishment is 10 years. This demand clearly proves that wise people of other religions are also convinced that Islamic law is the only law which can control crimes in the society.

Simply impose the Islamic law anywhere in the world and see the results yourself. some people calls Islamic punishments very hard. Islamic punishments are hard because fear of these hard punishments will stop people from doing crimes.

In Saudi Arabia Islamic punishments are given and there crimes rate is much lower as compare to much countries of the world.

Prophet Muhammad SAW Not Born on 12 Rabi Ul Awal

In one of my previous post i discussed that how some people has invented a new Eid called Eid Milad Un Nabi which is celebrated on 12th Rabi Ul Awal. these people claim that we celebrate this Eid as birthday of Prophet Muhammad SAW.

But do you know that large number of scholars who not agrees that Prophet Muhammad SAW was born on 12th Rabi Ul Awal. a very famous Brelvi Scholar Ahmed Raza Khan says in his Fatawa Razvia that Prophet Muhammad SAW was born on 8th Rabi Ul Awal while 12th Rabi Ul Awal is date of his death.

According to Abdul Qadir Jilani R.A the Prophet SAW was born on 9th Rabi Ul Awal  and on 12th Rabi Ul Awal he left this world.

Rasool Allah SAW never told date of his birth and also never celebrated his birthday. Sahaba also never done that. Now those people who are doing celebrations on 12th Rabi Ul Awal are actually doing Bidah innovation in Islam.

Does Islam Allows Marriage of Cousins?

As we all know Islam has given clear guidelines about various matters of life. Marriage is also a important thing about which we found all the guidelines in Quran and Hadith for example how we should do marriage? whom we should prefer to marry? which are the relations with whom marriage is forbidden etc?

Islam also gives answer of this question that whether we can get married with our cousins? yes In Islam marriage is allowed with cousins. Allah SWT has said in the Holy Quran:

So in the above verse cousin is not mentioned so we are allowed to marry our cousins. however the above mentioned relations are forbidden to get married with.

Our beloved Prophet SAW also marred his cousin HAZRAT ZAINUB R.A. HAZRAT ALI R.A was also married to his cousin's daughter HAZRAT FATIMA R.A. so these examples are enough to prove that cousin marriages are allowed islamically.

many a times cousin marriages also proves to be more stronger than those done outside. some people who see cousin marriage as disgusting matter must remember the guidelines of Islam.

Life In Grave According To Islam

As we all know that this life is not permanent and we will die one day. some of us will live for 30 years and some for 100 years but one thing is guaranteed that death will come for sure. When we die we are buried in grave.

As Muslims we believe that there is a life after this life as well.  most of other religions also gives concept of life after death. ALLAH has said in the QURAN "We will raise you into a form of which you have not the slightest knowledge".

According to Islamic belief Life in grave is true and a person will stay in grave until the day of Judgement comes and then he will be picked up from his grave.  RASOOL ALLAH SAW said Seek ALLAH'S protection from the Punishment of the Grave, since punishment of the Grave is true.

According to Islam when a person is buried in grave and people goes back the soul of that person is restored but that life is of a special type different from life of this world. the name given to that life is AL-BARZAKH.

in the grave three questions are asked first of all by angels. Who is your Lord? Who is your Prophet and what is your religion? a believer answers these questions by Allah, Muhammad Peace Be Upon Him and Islam respectively while a unbeliever gives the answer i don't know for all of these questions.

the believer feels comfortable and do rest like he is sleeping in the grave while a non-believer is punished.

Many people who would have done some good and some bad deeds. they will be punished in the grave and after completing their punishment they will get the peace and on day of Judgement they will be entered in paradise and saved from hell because they would have already completed their punishment in the grave.

This is the concept of Grave Life in Islam. Everyone of us should prepare ourselves for the test of grave and Judgement day.

You Can't Be a Good Muslim If You Are Not a Good Human

As we keep on listening and saying this that Islamic is a complete way of life and not just about praying and some other rituals unlike other religions. For example Islam tells you how to live, how to do business, how to eat, how to marry, how to treat others. in-short Islam tells us every way for living our life in a good manner.

Islam makes us a human a good human. a person can't become a good Muslim if he is not a good human. You will find verses of the Quran and Hadiths of Prophet Muhammad SAW about all the matters of life no matter they are small matters of life or the big ones.

For example here are some Hadiths giving guidance to us about matters of life:

Prophet Muhammad SAW said a person who is not trustworthy has no faith and whoever breaches his pledge has no religion.

In another Hadith Rasool Allah SAW said Fear Allah and treat your children [small or grown] fairly (with equal justice).

In Hadith regarding controlling anger Prophet SAW said a strong man is not he who defeats his adversary by wrestling, but a strong man is he who controls himself at the time of anger.

Lets move to another Hadith. Prophet of Allah SAW says Feed the hungry, visit the sick and set free the captives.

Similarly take any matter of life and you will find guidance for it In Islam. Islam will even tell you the method of divorce and will also guide you about how to stay clean and pure. and if you will follow Islam in your life then it also gives you good news of Heaven in the hereafter.

Now you decide Islam makes us a Good human being or not? and if it makes then don't wait to follow it.

Muslim Men Without Beard and Women Without Hijab

Why is it that some Muslim men don't keep a beard and some Muslim women don't wear hijab? Among other reasons, the social factor is a very important one.

We always have the need to fit in. Some don't want to look like Muslims because the people they hang out with don't like Muslim look. They don't have the guts to stand out for the sake of Allah, because being a part of the gang is more important.

Some Muslims don't choose the Muslim look because they feel it is uncool. One has got to be cool, oh yeah!!!

I can't help asking, though... If suddenly the movers and shakers of the world decide that the Muslim look is SO COOOOOL, what will they do? They will grab the Muslim brand in no time. Because the whole idea is to fit in! To be cool!!!

We have to remember one thing though, on The Judgement Day, we will be on our own.

Hadith Qudsi 5:
On the authority of Abu Hurayrah (radhi Allahu anhu), who said that the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) said: Allah (glorified and exalted be He) said:

I am so self-sufficient that I am in no need of having an associate. Thus he who does an action for someone else's sake as well as Mine will have that action renounced by Me to him whom he associated with Me.

It was related by Muslim (also by Ibn Majah).

May Allah forgive us all and help us do things ONLY for His sake, and not because of the "what will people say" or "I don't feel like it" factor.

Conceal Faults of Others

We are human beings and all humans makes mistakes sometimes small and sometimes bigger. We are not perfect and there are many faults in all of us. Many a times we come to know about the faults of others like faults of our class fellows, friends, relatives and we immediately start to tell these faults to other people.

This attitude is completely wrong and Haram in light of Islam. Islam teaches us to hide faults of others instead of spreading them. there are so many Hadiths whom's words are similar to like this:

Whoever conceals the faults of others, Allah will conceal his faults in this life and the Hereafter.

another hadith says

A believer is not a fault-finder and is not abusive, obscene, or course.

when we come to know about the faults of others then we should try to talk about it with that person to help him changing it instead of telling the world. by telling faults of others you will not only earn sin but will also lose respect and Allah SWT will also not hide your faults as mentioned in the Hadith.

however there are some conditions in which you cannot hide the fault of a person and you will have to share it with others. for example if a person is doing something that is harming another person and he is doing it repeatedly then you should tell about it to the person who is getting harmed.

If fault of a person is related to rights of Allah then you should hide it. for example if a person not offers Prayer regularly. you should not tell this to everyone. instead you should talk about it with that person.

so these are some points that we should keep in mind about the faults of other people. May Allah SWT guide us to right path Ameen.

Don't Twist The Words of Holy Quran

A major reason of misguidance and deviation is twisting and tampering of words of sacred texts of Quran and Hadith. Some people twist the words of Allah Swt and try to dilute or conceal the meanings of verses whereas some others mix falsehood with truth to deceive believers. Allah Swt have condemned all these people in Holy Quran on many occasions. two of these instances are as follows:

Verily, those who conceal the clear proofs, evidences and the guidance, which We have sent down, after We have made it clear for the people in the Book, they are the ones cursed by Allâh and cursed by the cursers. (Al-Baqarah 2:159)

O people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians): "Why do you mix truth with falsehood and conceal the truth while you know?" (Aali Imran 3:71)

On another instance Allah swt has narrated mockery of some people from the Jews who twisted the words of Quran.Allah swt says:

Among those who are Jews, there are some who displace words from (their) right places and say: "We hear your word (O Muhammad SAW ) and disobey," and "Hear and let you (O Muhammad SAW) hear nothing"and "Râ'ina" with a twist of their tongues and as a mockery of the right religion. And if only they had said: "We hear and obey", and "Do make us understand," it would have been better for them, and more proper, but Allâh has cursed them for their disbelief, so they believe not except a few. (An-Nisa 4:46)

All these verses make it clear that tampering or editing of Holy texts is indeed a worst kind of misguidance and the believers are always good listeners and accept the message with open hearts without any tampering and editing. This fact has been narrated in the following verse of Quran:

The only saying of the faithful believers, when they are called to Allâh (His Words, the Qur'ân) and His Messenger (SAW), to judge between them, is that they say: "We hear and we obey." And such are the prosperous ones (who will live forever in Paradise). (An-Nur 24:51)

May Allah make us able to follow guidance of Allah and His prophet salal laho aliehi wasalam without any addition, subtraction, deletion and tampering Ameen.

Islam Teaches To Treat Minorities In Good Manner

Minorities have many rights in Islam and Quran and Sunnah have not allowed Muslims to treat them badly.Allah swt has commanded Muslims to treat peaceful minorities in a kind manner as mentioned in the following verse of Quran:

Allâh does not forbid you to deal justly and kindly with those who fought not against you on account of religion and did not drive you out of your homes. Verily, Allâh loves those who deal with equity. (Al-Mumtahinah 60:8)

We are not even allowed to preach them harshly and cannot force them to change their religion as mentioned in the following verse:

And argue not with the people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians), unless it be in (a way) that is better (with good words and in good manner, inviting them to Islâmic Monotheism with His Verses), except with such of them as do wrong, and say (to them): "We believe in that which has been revealed to us and revealed to you; our Ilâh (God) and your Ilâh (God) is One (i.e. Allâh), and to Him we have submitted (as Muslims)." (Al-'Ankabut 29:46)

Similarly there are many hadiths which tell us to treat minorities in the best possible ways. One hadith addressing the issue is as follow:

Narrated A number of Companions of the Prophet:

Safwan reported from a number of Companions of the Apostle of Allah (peace be upon him) on the authority of their fathers who were relatives of each other. The Apostle of Allah (peace be upon him) said: Beware, if anyone wrongs a contracting man, or diminishes his right, or forces him to work beyond his capacity, or takes from him anything without his consent, I shall plead for him on the Day of Judgment. (Sunan Abu Dawud : Book 19 , Hadith 3046 )

In the light of above mentioned verses and hadith it is the duty of Muslims to treat minorities in the best possible way. Those people who are involved in accidents of Lahore have indeed done a wrong and inhumane act which cannot be justified by any means and culprits behind this accident must be dealt accordingly.

Another dark side of this accident is that some radical secular elements in our society use these accidents to criticize blasphemy laws. They must know that the violence in our society is due to the lawlessness in our society. If there is strong enforcement of laws conspirators and trouble makers cannot exploit the situation. People always take laws in their hands when they have doubts about the implementation of laws or law enforcement agencies.

Dua Is An Act of Worship

We Muslims makes Dua to Allah SWT and ask for different needs and end of our problems. Some people asks for money, some for health and some for guidance of right path. But do you know Doing Dua is also an act of Worship and you get virtue just for making Dua even though we do Dua for our own needs.

Prophet Muhammad SAW said in an Hadith that the Dua is Worship. so this Hadith of Prophet SAW clearly says that Dua is Worship and we all know that doing Worship of Allah SWT is a virtue.

Allah SWT has said in the Quran "Call on Me; I will answer your (Prayer). so we should always try to do Dua from core of our hearts. it will not only benefit here but in hereafter as well.

Two Islamic Business Ideas Related To Ramadan and Eid

As we all know that Islam allows us to do Business by Halal means and our beloved Prophet Muhammad SAW himself done business of trading. we can do business of anything that not comes in the list of Haram. on other hand if we will do a business that is related to Islam then we will not only earn profit but also Ajar from Allah SWT.

today i am going to share two Islamic Business ideas that some people already tried in the past and earned good profit from them. both the ideas are related to Online business which means you will have to use Internet to do them.

1st Islamic business idea: the first business idea that i would like to present is selling Khajoor Ajwa online in the month of Ramadan. Khajoor Ajwa are special dates of Saudi Arabia that are more expensive than other dates. In month of Ramadan the use of dates becomes very common so you can sale Khajoor Ajwa Online by proper marketing through a website and Facebook. some people already done this in the past successfully and made good profit from it.

2nd Business Idea: the second business idea that i wanted to share is Selling the Eid Animals for sacrifice before Eid Ul Adha Online. this business idea is also tried by some people in the past and proved to be very successful. You can sell Eid Qurbani animals online and also provide service of delivery with it. we all know how much sale of Cows, Goats increases before Eid Ul Adha. you can benefit from it and can make handsome amount of money.

These were two Islamic business ideas that i was looking to share with the readers related to Eid and Ramadan.

How an Islamic Marriage Takes Place?

Marriage has great Importance In Islam. In Islam its obligatory to get married for a person who is able to afford it. Islam supports institution of marriage to stop moral corruption in the society. Marriage saves society from Zina and other haram activities. Islam also makes process of marriage very simple and easy so that everyone rich or poor can afford it.  In Islam Marriage is also known as Nikah.

Prophet of Allah Muhammad SAW said "O you young men! Whoever is able to marry should marry, for that will help him to lower his gaze and guard his modesty." [Al-Bukhari]

Now a days people are spending millions of rupees on marriages, girl's family giving dowry to boy, Mehndi, Barat, giving jewelry and gifts of  millions of rupees. all these things has nothing do with Islam. but sadly these things are now common even In Muslims marriages. this situation has made it difficult to get married for poor and middle class people.

the process of Marriage is really simple In Islam. Islam says a marriage should take place in Mosque. boy should give Mehr to girl. Allah says in the Quran "And give the women (on marriage) their mahr as a (nikah) free gift" (Quran 4:4).

Nikah should be offered in Mosque in presence of both girl and boy. after Nikah boy should give a dawat to guests that is known as Walima in which food is offered to guests. this is how a marriage completes in Islam simply.

now a days the marrige has become really complicated and expensive specially for the girl's family who gives dowry as well as faces expenses of Barat. on other hand In Islam there are absolute no burden on girl's family. Boy have to give Mehr and Dawat of Walima.

So we should all learn simplicity from our religion Islam and make the Marriage simple so that poor and middle class people don't face problems in getting married.

What Type of Muslims We Are?

A real Muslim is the one who submits before the will of Allah swt in all spheres of life. Everyday every moment he tries to live life according to orders of our creator Allah SWT. What kind of Muslim we are when our:

1. Clothing and appearance is like Christians
2. Festivals are like Hindus
3. Business is like Jews
4. Belief in stars is like Zoroastrians
5. Life style is like Atheists

We must keep this thing in mind that we have to follow religion in all the spheres of life as commanded by Allah swt in Holy Quran in the following manner:

O you who believe! Enter perfectly in Islam (by obeying all the rules and regulations of the Islamic religion) and follow not the footsteps of Shaitan (Satan). Verily! He is to you a plain enemy (Al-Baqarah 2:208)

But currently we are ready to follow only those commands which are beneficial for us and are not ready to follow those which are difficult to follow. The result of this pick and choose policy is disaster in this world and Hereafter.

Allah swt says in Holy Quran:

Then do you believe in a part of the Scripture and reject the rest? Then what is the recompense of those who do so among you, except disgrace in the life of this world, and on the Day of Resurrection they shall be consigned to the most grievous torment. And Allâh is not unaware of what you do. (Al-Baqarah 2:85)

we need to follow islam in every aspect of life from bottom of our heart if we want real success.

Ramadan 2013 Is Almost Here

Ramadan is the holiest Islamic month of the year that comes after month of Shaban. According to Islamic Calender its 9th month of the year. In the month of Ramadan Muslims throughout the world fasts from sunrise to sunset. they stay away from eating, drinking and sins. This year 2013 Ramadan is coming in July and will start on 9th or 10th of July.

We have already entered in the month of Shaban which means there are less than 30 days left in Ramadan 2013.

In Holy month of Ramadan the reward of good deeds is increased 70 times by Allah SWT which means if we will do one good deed in Ramadan it will be considered equal to 70 good deeds.

In Ramadan life of people changes completely. Families keeps and open the fast together. delicious foods are made at home for keeping and opening the fast. people tries to stay away from bad deeds. Poor and needy people are helped greatly. Lots of people starts to go to mosques for offering Salah. Women do maximum Zikr of Allah SWT at homes.

Laylat al-Qadr the most holiest Islamic night also comes in last 10 days of Ramadan. doing worship on this night better than worship of thousand nights. In Ramadan many people also sits for I’tikaf.

As the month of Ramadan ends the Islamic festival of Eid ul-Fitr is celebrated on 1st date of Shawwal.

in-short we can say that Ramadan is a exercise of 30 days for changing ourselves for other 11 months of the year and becoming better Muslims.
